Arnold Laver is an innovative UK Company with a large range of products and services, they specialise in products for the home, leisure and the commercial building industry as well as DIY.
Arnold Laver required a new brochure for it’s Accent Kitchens product range. Accent Kitchens are a leading force in the provision of high quality kitchens throughout the UK. They approached we are CODA to design and print a 44 page brochure which showcases the 28 kitchen ranges they produce. The design had to be modern and stylish to show the high level of quality of the products, but also have a layout that could split the product ranges into different price categories.
We decided the best way to tackle the various price ranges for the products would be to colour code each section. This allowed us to pick a modern, fresh range of blues and greens to use throughout the brochure.
We designed a flexible but structured grid layout which would help keep each spread looking different but give structure to the pages. We enhanced the style by using full image shots of the kitchens bleeding over 2 pages to create maximum impact. The different colours we chose were also used to highlight text about particular features of each range, and the addition of clear colour swatches and icons helped to make features and benefits clear to the customer.
The brochure was printed on high quality paper with a matt laminated cover which really compliments the imagery and helps the brochure look more sophisticated.
Since producing the Accent Kitchen brochure CODA went on to roll out the new look to other brochures such as their full product range and decking brochures which also included point of sale and swatch books. CODA also then created some corporate HTML email templates for Campaign Monitor.
