Our latest responsive web design project has been for Australian charity Sock it to Sarcoma! We took an existing brand and developed this into a fully responsive online web portal for people to register for the event and donate funds to support sarcoma research.
The Australian based charity gave us the opportunity to do something new and build a WordPress system where people could register and create an online members page to take donations, log the total amount of money raised and also generate leaderboards for team participants and individual members. We used the bright cyan and magenta colours from the brand logo along with clear calls to action and buttons to help users navigate the site. We included lots of great photography from last years event when we created the website, which is one of our best examples yet of good clean responsive web design.
The site also contains a search function so users can search for a participant or team to make a donation and also see their bio, team members, all donations, targets and total amount raised so far. It’s a really clean coded site that is easy to navigate and works well on smaller mobile devices and tablets. The responsive aspect is really important as it allows the flexibility for people to donate via their smart phone without compromising the look and design style.
The new website can been seen here: www.rideandstrideforsarcoma.org.au
Overall, another successful project delivery and a happy client. There’s no doubt the Ride and Stride for Sarcoma! event will be very successful in Perth this year with lots of money raised for a great cause. For more information about the charity, visit the Sock it to sarcoma.org.au website.
